It is said the word 'pie' is derived from the magpie; just as the magpie is a hoarder of sparkly objects, a pie can conceal an assortment of ingredients, from the simplest tangy sweet mass of granny smith apples and cloves set under a crackling sugary crust, to a toothsome sweet lemon sauce covered with a swathe of meringue in our decadent lemon meringue pastry. With few exceptions, our home made pastry is superior and more desirable to the shop bought variety because we use only the freshest natural ingredients to ensure you a great tasting result every time.

Gluten-free Almond Peachy Pie
A family favourite that just happens to be gluten free. Almond meal and coconut combine to make the tart base. Canned sliced peaches are attractively arranged around the base and the "pie" is finished with and a tangy sour cream custard topping. 23cm round, it will give you 8 generous servings.
